STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM
Carson-Newman offers study abroad opportunities ranging from a few weeks to full semesters or an entire year. These programs can truly be life-changing. Exploring the information below is a great way to start. You can also make an appointment to visit with the Center for Global Education to learn all about the opportunities available to you as a C-N Eagle.
A variety of programs exist, including faculty-led programs, exchange programs, partner university programs and programs run by outside providers.
PROGRAM OPTIONS
Study abroad with your fellow classmates and C-N professors during Spring Break or a summer term. Programs vary from year-to-year. Visit the Study Abroad Fair each fall or contact the Center for Global Education to learn more about the programs available.
Spend a semester or year abroad as a C-N exchange student. These opportunities maximize your available financial aid funding.
We have exchange agreements in Japan, South Korea, China, and Spain. The universities abroad send their students to study at Carson-Newman for a semester or a year, and Carson-Newman students may study abroad for a semester as an exchange student. These programs offer the most financial aid possibilities to C-N students as all federal, state, and C-N institutional aid apply for a semester abroad at an exchange university. The programs in Japan, South Korea, and China do not require any prior language instruction, although language courses will be required while studying abroad. Our exchange program in Spain requires fluency in Spanish. For more information on these programs, contact the Center for Global Education.

Carson-Newman is connected with a number of universities around the world. Spend a semester experiencing the rich culture of another place while you learn another language or explore a major global city. Federal and state financial aid may be used for participation in one of these programs, but C-N institutional aid will not apply. For more information on these programs, contact the Center for Global Education.
